Typhoon Hagibis did an about face and turn 180 degree back toward the Philippines
Typhoon Hagibis did an about face and turn 180 degree back toward the
Philippines, sparing Nha Trang and surrounding area from a miserable
weekend storm. Outlook for Nha Trang for the next 2 days is cloudy with
light sunshine. It is estimated that a full day of sunny beach weather
condition is set for Tuesday Morning. Do not be surprise if Monday
brings sunshine too. Typhoon Hagibis has gone away so bring back the
swimming trunks and bikini and get ready to play in the warm Nha Trang
winter day. Very light rain continue to shower Nha Trang but the storm
is over with and travelers are moving about again.
Tropical Storm Hagibis located approximately 115 nm
east-southeast of Nha Trang, Vietnam, has remained quasi-stationary
for the past 06 hours. For the past 24 hours the system has remained
in a weak steering environment under the competing influences of near
equatorial ridging to the south over eastern borneo, and sub-tropical
ridging to the northeast of Luzon. The dynamic models are now in
better agreement, indicating that the primary steering influence is
now the near equatorial ridging to the south.
